How to Use Fruit Smoothies for Weight Loss

Fruit smoothies are highly successful in promoting weight loss. Fruits and vegetables are high in the nutrients and antioxidants that can help to boost your immune system. A diet consisting of five pieces of fruit a day could help protect you from illnesses and infections . When using fruit smoothies to lose weight you should substitute your usual breakfast and lunch for smoothies which can be prepared at home. This weight loss plan should only be used for two to three weeks at a time. Always ensure you eat a healthy, nutritionally balanced evening meal.

    Wash fruit thoroughly before preparing a fruit smoothie.

    Slice two bananas and place them into a blender.

    Add 1/2 cup blueberries and 1/2 cup strawberries and cover with a pint of apple juice.

    Pour one cup of ice chips over the fruit in your blender and firmly screw on the lid. Blend until the fruit appears smooth and well mixed. Transfer the fruit smoothie into a jug with a lid. Fruit smoothie will keep fresh in your refrigerator for two to three days.

    Substitute your usual breakfast for a 1/2 pint of fruit smoothie and replace your usual lunch with one pint of fruit smoothie. Always eat a nutritionally balanced evening meal. Continue the weight loss plan for two to three weeks.
